Solo/Ensemble Festival

Heineman Middle School is hosting a Solo/Ensemble Music Festival for students in grades 6 - 8 on Saturday, April 28 at Heineman Middle School from 9am-1pm. Students do not need to attend the entire day, only the time(s) they are scheduled to perform.The purpose of this event is to provide students with the opportunity to perform and get feedback from a professional musician. ​It's a really great experience!​

What do I do on the day of Solo/Ensemble?
  1. Get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast
  2. Wear a nice outfit - no jeans allowed
  3. Arrive at school 30 minutes before your first event
  4. Make sure you have sheet music for the judge
  5. Bring your chromebook fully charged
  6. Warmup in the band and choir rooms
  7. Go to your judging room 10 minutes before your event
  8. Perform! Judge will work with you and give you pointer
  9. You will receive an email on your school account with feedback from the judge​

Party Time!
The students will receive their participation medal on Friday, May 4 at our solo/ensemble celebration during music classes!
